Ken Sheldon

(Burglar, Heartbreak House) Ken Sheldon appeared in one of the first musicals ever performed at the Players, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and is glad they decided to continue doing musicals anyway. Ken has also appeared in The Matchmaker, Our Town, Inherit the Wind, and A Winter’s Tale, generally playing characters named Joe. This year, he will demonstrate his dramatic breadth by playing someone named Lars (the papa in I Remember Mama), as well as the burglar in Heartbreak House. In the off-season, Ken is the creator of Frost Heaves, a musical variety show from “the most under-appreciated town in New Hampshire,” which takes place at the Peterborough Players theatre because the septic system is backed up at the Frost Heaves town hall. Frost Heaves was recently given a “Best of NH” award by NH Magazine, which is either a sign of the editors’ great judgment or the dismal state of humor in New Hampshire.
