Peterborough Players’ Artistic Director Gets Rave Reviews in NYC
Gus Kaikkonen’s Work Praised by Press

Peterborough, NH (May 18, 2010) – The Peterborough Players’ Artistic Director Gus Kaikkonen has garnered rave reviews for his work on Dr. Knock in New York City’s Mint Theater. The New York Times says “Gus Kaikkonen stages his witty translation with a finely tuned rhythm . . . .” The Wall Street Journal reports that "Gus Kaikkonen . . . has polished the script (which is being performed in his own idiomatic translation) until it gleams like a dueling saber. . . ."

New Hampshire is fortunate to have a theater professional of Mr. Kaikkonen’s stature; this will be his 15th season as artistic director for the Peterborough Players. This season, Players’ audiences will be treated to a new translation of Tartuffe by Mr. Kaikkonen, and several other plays will be performed under his direction.
