Peterborough Players Presents Tartuffe
Classic French Comedy by Molière

Peterborough, NH (July 28, 2010) – Tartuffe opens at the Peterborough Players summer theatre August 4-15. This classic French comedy is Molière’s most popular play, performed with a new translation by Players’ Artistic Director Gus Kaikkonen. Lush costumes and scenery combine with Molière’s insightful humor to create a sumptuous evening of wit and mirth.

Many actors well-known on the Players’ stage will be part of the fun, including Lisa Bostnar, Carmen Decker, David Haugen, Dale Hodges, Ian and Karen Peakes, Kraig Swartz, and Dominic Cuskern. Tartuffe spins religious hypocrisy into high comedy, complete with an anti-hero you love to hate – as relevant now as it was in 1664, when the play was written. Rated PG-13
