Peterborough Players Presents Les Contes D’Hoffmann
The Met: Live in HD – Saturday, December 19th

Peterborough, NH (December 8, 2009) – Les Contes D’Hoffmann, by Jacques Offenbach, will be simulcast live onto a 10’ X 16’ screen at the Peterborough Players on Saturday, December 19th at 1 PM. This is the fourth opera in The Met: Live in HD 2009-2010 opera series

This new production of the Metropolitan Opera’s Les Contes D’Hoffmann is a fictionalized take into the life and loves of the German Romantic writer E.T.A. Hoffmann. This fascinating psychological journey is conducted by Met Music Director James Levine and directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher, with a stellar cast including Kathleen Kim, Anna Nebrebko, Ekaterina Gubanova, Alan Held, and Joseph Calleja in the title role.

Reserved seating tickets are on sale for Les Contes D’Hoffmann at the Peterborough Players, as well as for the remaining five operas in the series. Tickets sold individually $25 adults, $20 students, or in a discounted subscription package: $115 for 5 operas. Approximate running time for Les Contes D’Hoffmann is 3 hours with 2 intermissions. Cast is subject to change without notice.
